Quilted Jackets with Doris Goins
October 1: Measure your Body, get the pattern, make muslin at home, and answer questions about what kind of batting to use if you are making your own quilt for the jacket.
October 8: Adjusting muslin fit if needed, working on piecing for jacket or begin layout from an old quilt.
October 15: Continue piecing and quilting if doing a new quilt a new quilt or new quilt or cutting out an old quilt.
October 22: Sewing the jacket pieces together, sewing pockets, finishing seams and edges, and adding closures.
October 29: Continuation of above steps for those that need guidance and support.

| Skill Details: | you need to know how to use your sewing Machine and or your serger. Learn: straight seams, inserting welt pockets, and applying bias binding |

| Requirements: | Walking foot for your machine. Machine that has an overcast stitch or be able to use a Serger to finish seams. An old quilt full sized quilt or quilted fabric (prepared prior to class). Thread. Seam ripper. 5 yards of 1/2 inch wide double fold bias binding. 4 heavy duty snaps. |
